MY STORY
From Panic to Present
When I became a father, I was terrified. I had no idea what I was doing. I read books, but they didn't speak to me—they spoke to someone else. They spoke to a man who already knew how to be a dad. That wasn't me.
"I wouldn't have made it through without my wife. She showed me what strength actually looks like."
So I started writing. At first, just notes on my phone at 3 a.m., half-asleep, trying to make sense of a day I barely survived. Then those notes became a journal. Then the journal became something I couldn't stop working on.
"From Panic to Present" is the guide I wish I had. It's not perfect. It's honest. And it's written for the man standing in the hospital hallway, wondering if he's enough.
These days, most of what I write lives on this site—short, honest notes on the parts of fatherhood nobody prepares you for.
HOW THIS STARTED
WHAT I BELIEVE
In His Own Words
Why write this book?
Because I needed it and couldn't find it. Every book I picked up either got clinical or got preachy. I wanted something that just said: here's what actually happens, here's what to do about it, and here's how to be okay when you can't.
Who is this for?
Dads who are scared and won't say it out loud. First-timers mostly—but honestly, anyone standing in that hallway wondering if they're enough.
What makes this different?
It's not written by an expert looking down at the situation. It's written by a guy who was in it, taking notes as he went. No perfect answers—just the ones that actually got me through.
“If you're reading this, you're already doing something right. You're showing up. You're trying. That's what matters.”
